Jeanne Awad was born in Franklin, New Hampshire where she graduated from Franklin High School. She graduated from Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts where she received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. After teaching in Gardner, Massachusetts for Thirty-three years, she retired in Punta Gorda, Florida arriving in time to experience Hurricane Charley. Jeanne has enjoyed water skiing, boating, snow skiing, snowmobiling, and sports cars. She is a solo pilot who flew with her instrument commercial rated husband all over New England in their own aircraft for over thirty years. Currently, Jeanne's hobbies include boating, walking, and bike riding. Most recently, she has become an avid pistol and rifle target shooter. The poems in this book were written over a period of eight years, and each poem was written with a person or an event in mind. Each poem was shared with family and friends with the hope that the messages would bring smiles, happiness, and warmth.
