The theme of this book is Happiness! It includes subtle morals, yes, and happiness assuredly. While the stories were written for beginning readers, they are delightfully suitable for reading aloud to younger children, who will want to see the pictures, of course. Adults, too, I bet, will enjoy these two new stories by Great Grandpa Joe.
