Things should have started humming at Clause house in the North Pole. Christmas was coming soon. The elves were sharpening their carving tools, ready to make hundreds of wooden toys for the girls and boys of the world. The reindeer were practicing their exercises, running, jumping and flying for the long flight on Christmas for the cold arctic winds that would bite at elf ears or rain deer noses as they crossed the cold arctic skies to deliver the toys. Everyone was excited except Santa. Santa was in his office paying serious attention to his computer. "What has happened to Santa, Mrs. Clause?" The elves were fearful. "I don't know," Mrs. Clause replied. "but I'm certainly going to find out."
