Q: What are your office hours?
A: The office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00am - 4:00pm
Q: What genres does Peppertree publish?
A: We publish, fiction, non-fiction, inspirational/ religious, children’s, educational, poetry, biography, auto-biography and cookbooks.
Q: When can I expect a return call or
A: We strive to return all correspondence within 24 business hours.
Q: Do I always need to schedule an appointment to have a meeting with you?
A: Yes, please. This will ensure that we have ample time to discuss your book.
Q: What format does my book need to be in for it to be published?
A: Electronic format: Microsoft Word or Microsoft Works. If your manuscript is hand written, we can type it for you, and convert it to the electronic format.
Also include your Bio, Dedication and Acknowledgements pages in a
word document or on a CD.
Please include a picture of yourself either in a JPEG or an original
photo for us to scan. It should also be in 300 DPI.
Q: How long will it take to publish my book from the date of signing the agreement?
A: The process of publishing your book takes approximately six to eight weeks. If your book requires custom illustrations, the process takes approximately three months to complete.
Q: If I need an illustrator for my book can the press recommend one?
A: Yes. You can choose from our talented group of illustrators. Once chosen, our illustrator will create black & white sketches for your approval, and then they will progress to full color illustrations.
Q: Do you provide editing services?
A: The publisher will choose a professional editor who is best suited for your writing style and book topic.
Q: Do you provide e-book services?
A: Yes. After you have approved your final book, we can re-format it to an e-book version.
Q: Do I contact the editor of my book with comments or questions?
A: The publisher is the contact for any questions that you may have regarding editing and is the acting liaison.

Q: Will I receive a bound book to review before final printing?
A: Yes. At this time there is an additional fee if you make any changes. You have the option to purchase the first book, or sign it and return it to our office display.
Q: Will I own the copyright to my book?
Q: When can I schedule events and signings?
A: Only after you have received your book order, please. Once we receive a check in hand for an order, we will be happy to place an order. It typically takes 7-10 business days for delivery via UPS to the shipping address that you request. Please contact Teri Lynn Franco for pricing. The minimum book order is 25 copies.

Q: How will my book be marketed and distributed?
A: Most importantly through each authors marketing efforts.
We can provide many helpful ideas to assist you with finding the specific marketplace for your book.
We distribute through Ingram, Baker & Taylor and Bertram’s
This process includes online retailers, e-book retailers and libraries.
All of our books are returnable and discounted for bookstore sales.
We continue working on becoming vendors in bookstores.
All of our books are available online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble,
Borders, Books-A-Million, The Peppertree Press and more.
Peppertree Promotions (for an additional fee).
We offer a custom design for business cards, flyers, postcards,
bookmarks and posters.
If you are interested in national marketing, The Press can refer
you to a local publicist.

Q: How are my sales tracked, and what is the royalty schedule?
A: The Peppertree Press receives the royalty disbursement checks from
our distributor 90 days after the month of the sale. Therefore, we
forward each authors royalty check quarterly. Our distributor informs
us as to the number sold, but not the location of the sale.
